An odessy of family pictures, can a perfect picture ever be taken?

This is us trying to take a picture with cousin's Luna and Kosmo. Eventually the dog became part of the picture and this is the best picture of a 30 min. jont in the backyard. With Aunt Jennifer(taking the photo) post op from surgery! (gallbladder removal)

Last month I took my family and my sister (her being the photographer, laboring with yet an other excruciating headache) She thought we should do a mother daughter picture, this is the result. Us in front of an old tree at my Grandma Hibberts house.
I actually love this picture, even though the hay is in Ryley's face it shows every ones personalities.
This was some of our first attempts of a family picture and Chaz started out not very cooperative(imagine that) and only one person looking at the camera. Good job Wes!
Yet another attempt of our allusive family picture. We are in Grandma's Barn on the old stair case, half of us looking at the camera.Yet, I think Ryan and Chaz look so cute looking at each other.
The boy's, great picture! I love the background with the beautiful Mt. Emily in the background!

Wesley proves to be our most consistent picture taker. I love the setting for this, but we, as a family portrait could not pull it off.

We always used to joke that family pictures were just covers for a nice big family fight. We actually didn't do too bad growing up but they're usually not a very fun time for anyone. You are all still very cute, even if you're not always looking at the camera! Hope you got at least one good one with everyone looking!

Your pictures are still really cute. It's always hard to get everybody to look perfect, but you'll have some great memories. Oh, and what a view!

What great pictures! I love when you can see personalities and chaos. It's just so much more realistic!!

These were cute, getting a good family pic is SO hard. I love the one with Ryan and Chaz looking at each other, very sweet.

Any family photo I see where all family members are looking straight into the camera and smiling a perfect smile screams Photoshop to me. I really don't think it can be done, at least not when you have young ones. I love those "imperfect" pictures though. Adorable!

Great to see you back to blogging. Your children are growing up and SO cute, happy and laughing and playing.

Enjoy the summer!

Life's real; its just too hopeful to want a picture that makes life look easy. When my boys were one I was determined to take a picture for Christmas cards and after 2 weeks and many photo shoots of trying to capture anything card worthy, I finally called the neighbor over to take a family picture with the boys all in my lap, two with bottles and pjs and thats what went out! Some didn't like that I sent out such an informal, dressed down-no make up picture out but it really demonstrated to me where we were at in life!
I love that you've posted all of these pictures of personality! They really are priceless-especially Ryan and Chaz on the stairs.
